World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also boost extra bonuses such as crit chance and PvE damage.
For example, a weapon with the upgrade template that is ending in % will gain 3damage to attack each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item level rises.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons, and trinkets to give an extra stat boost or effect when they're used. These can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors trading, or looting. Some upgrades also have specific cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can be placed in equipment with a slot for them. The item must have been at least upgraded to the blue level for a component to be inserted. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging ascended gear or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.
A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it is applied to (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of the equipment using the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than would be required to reach the same upgrade level through normal methods.
A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defence characteristics of an armored weapon or. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades are available for purchase them in the cash shop, or by obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other gear.
Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher tier version of the item will be available in the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue improving their equipment, even if they're unsure of how much it will improve after a future reset.
The process of upgrading an item could be expensive and it is likely that the item will be obsolete, or even break, in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items that can double or even eliminate the possibility of failure, and a few upgrades that give the benefit of being reinserted into an item.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs buff the effectiveness of all nodes in the area around them as well as existing affixes on equipment. item upgrading can be upgraded in various ways, and we recommend getting them up to level 15 as soon as possible.
You will often find in the final game that placing Glyphs is the most effective method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade component which can be upgraded to level 15 and provide a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.
The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.
Each Glyph has a certain range of values that it can improve a statistic by. The value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.
Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you will require them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that will boost the stats of a particular set of nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.
Glyphs will increase the number of nodes connected to them, which is why it is recommended to place Glyphs in the most important locations on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. For instance, a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes but you should also think about placing them near crucial damage nodes as well.
Leveling
The upgrade system for items allows players to increase the stats of specific items by introducing upgraded components. This is referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item has an amount that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each level of item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.
Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. item upgrader can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab of the crafting table. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns several Technology Points. These points can be used to level up the item. Once enough points have been earned, the upgrade can be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.
When an item is upgraded by a player it is replaced with a new item of the same kind. This means that the same armor piece will become the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item will also have a unique bonus. This could be a problem, as it can cause the item to become more expensive if you don't need it.
If the player has enough tokens they can reroll item upgrades. The item will be replaced by an entirely new item that has a base of level 1 and totally different bonuses. This is a good idea, but should not be used frequently as it can be a waste of resources.
Some upgrades can be rerolled several times, increasing their value and allowing the player to customize their equipment. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or is able to swim like a dolphin). It can be upgraded multiple times, each time increasing the max roll by an increment of 10. This item is very important in PvP. A well-rolled version could be worth up to 50x the value of its non-upgraded counterpart.
Requirements
The upgrader for items lets players increase the level of their equipment (armor weapons, weapons trinkets, and armor) above ilvl385 by presenting the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase its base defense and upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage and also increase their strength and dexterity.
All items are upgradeable up to five times, except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an object, it is at risk of failing. The failure rate increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to go to its initial state, requiring the player to spend more materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.
If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar in the bar for growth will be reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it has gained like crit chance attack damage, additional effects (such as increased heal over time, or reloading speed). However, the user can still continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.
If an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. This means that, if a weapon gains an increase in crit chance it will be applied before any increase in attack damage. A new attribute known as Slots has been added to the definition of the item and the value is recomputed every time an upgrade is applied.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a standard equipment item may have five upgrades with a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will have an incredibly lower cost for each additional upgrade.
Premium items may have different upgrade requirements from normal equipment. For example they may require less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. The player will still need to take every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each upgrade will require a different amount of the upgrade ingredients.
